General
Why should I use Podspace for my podcast?

There are lots of podcast hosting providers for you to evaluate. But you need to "store" your podcast with a hosting service for eg. iTunes and Spotify to find your content. Podspace helps you to manage your podcast and makes it easy for you to schedule releases, adding art and description texts to your episodes. We also help you to make your podcast recognized and "indexed" by the most popular podcast players and apps.

Content
I just published a new episode but can't see it in my podcast app?

Once Podspace publishes your episode, we instantly update your feed. However, it's up to the podcast player or app to check if there is any new content to download. In most cases, this works within minutes, but some are slower than others. So in a worst-case scenario, it may take a few hours rather than minutes.

How long episodes can I upload?

Podspace doesn't have any hard limits regarding the length of your episode. However, we do recommend not to upload extremely lengthy episodes since most listeners have data plans, and many podcast players have download limits when not on a WiFi connection. If you do have one or many very long episodes, perhaps edit it into two episodes or in a lower bitrate for your listener's sake. Our recommendation is not to make your episodes larger than 100 MB.

How many episodes can I upload?

You can upload as many episodes as you want.

Can I move my podcast from another hosting service to Podspace?

Yes, you can move your podcast from almost any other hosting service. When you sign up, make sure that you select "Import Existing Podcast". By doing so, you'll be able to tell us what podcast you're managing, and we then import your podcast by automatically download it from your current hosting service. When your episodes have gotten transferred to Podspace, you need to add a 301-redirect from your old hosting provider to the new address of your Podspace feed, which you can find under "Show settings" in your Dashboard. You're welcome to reach out to support@podspace.com if you need any assistance.

What is the difference between a listener and a listening?

A listening is each time a person starts playing a new episode and stream at least 60 seconds of it or download the entire episode at once. Listeners are only counted once for your show during the period you are looking at, regardless of the number of episodes they have listened to.

How many listeners does my podcast have?

You can find all your statistics under the "Stats" tab in the Dashboard. Under the reach section, you will see how your audience and listenings have grown over time.

How accurate are the statistics data?

Our statistics are certified by Kantar Media Audit(https://www.kantarmedia.com) and Poddindex(https://poddindex.se/measurement), which is based on IAB Podcast Measurement 2.0. In other words, this means that the core data is relatively rough in general, all due to the way podcasts are distributed across the world. Our goal is to give you as a creator the most accurate, to our knowledge, figures based upon this data. We've certified our method to provide you data that can be measured against other podcasts that also use the same standard.

PLANS & PAYMENT
What plan should I choose?

According to our statistics, most podcasts will be just fine with our base plan of 10 000 listenings per month. When you grow your audience, we'll tell you when it's time to upgrade. Probably the most important thing to mention is that we won't stop serving your podcast if you exceed your plan - we love it when podcasts creators grow with us. You can later decide to upgrade when you're uploading a new episode. If you're moving a podcast to Podspace you can probably find listener statistics from your current hosting partner, to guide you towards a suitable plan. If you feel unsure, you're always welcome to contact us, and we'll help you: sales@pod.space.

I have more than one podcast can I still use Podspace?

Yes, you can, is the simple answer. At the moment, we're not offering any plans on our website with multiple shows. But we do have the support for it. Contact us, and we'll help you: sales@pod.space.

Do you offer other types of plans too?

We do also offer more extensive plans made for studios or larger podcast networks, with lots of content and multiple shows.

What type of payment do you accept?

We use Stripe as our payment provider. Through them, you can pay with most credit and debit cards.

Can I try Podspace for free?

We're currently not offering any trial or free plan. But if something isn't quite right or you change your mind, you have 14 days to let us know, and we'll fully refund you. If you want to make a refund, please contact us at sales@pod.space.

Can I get a refund for my subscription?

We offer a full refund for any subscription within 14 days from the day you made the purchase. If you want to make a refund, please contact us at sales@pod.space.

What happens to my content when I cancel my subscription?

We will keep your content for at least 30 days from the day you canceled or terminated your subscription if you don't tell us to remove it earlier. If you want us to remove it earlier, we will, to the best of our ability, make sure to do so as fast as possible. You will keep your account and login credentials if you're not telling us to remove it altogether. You might want to keep your login to be able to reactivate your subscription in a later state or create a redirect if you moved your content to another hosting service. For more information or help in these regards, please contact us at support@podspace.com.
